Everything was spotlessly clean and onsite parking was available for free. It was short walk to city centre, value for money.
Thanks very much for great experience!
Loyal staff, large rooms, attractive and competitive value for money. The place is 1 km away from the Canterbury downtown. What's more, free parking was easy to find.
Clean hotel and car parking is nice. 10 minutes walking to coach station and 15 minutes walk to centre with free parking; excellent value for money.
Great location and helpful reception staff. We stayed in a nice room, and liked it.
Equipment and style is good.
The performance and quality of the restaurant were very good!
The room was very poorly soundproofed (or the guests from the next room are not respectful)!
The furnishings were typically English
Very nice typical English hotel. Within walking distance to the old town of Canterbury. Very nice and helpful staff
The view out of the back window was not nice; you would be able to see exhaust pipes and garbage. Since we only stayed the night, it didn't bother us. Unfortunately, none of the toilets - we had booked a total of 4 rooms - had a toilet brush or a hairdryer.
Not a lot
Told we were upgraded, would have liked to seen upgraded from what! Not much of upgrade. Small room, with thin walls. Family next door, very loud. Had to get up at 6.15am for graduation. Ended up feeling tired out. We decided on this hotel as a treat, should have stayed in the holiday inn.
Quiet surrounding and ready to help staff.
Once again, friendly staff, excellent service, ideal location for a visit to Canterbury (ten minutes'walk to city centre).
Overal hotel cleanliness, friendly and helpfull staff, good food, and comfort in the bed room and the bar. I will recomend it to my friends. We had a great week end thank you.
no every thing was well above the average hotel on this class.
All hotelfacilities are present. Good location close by the Channeltunnel and/or ferries and very near Cnterbury. Parking lot
Squueky floor are charming but can be very disturbing at night. Poor noise insulation in the rooms.
The hotel was a beautiful manor house style property with very nicely designed interiors and a well-maintained property overall. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The walk to the city centre was only about 15 mins. It is well located for Canterbury East train station but a little too far to walk to Canterbury West Station (~ 45 mins). Since the hotel is located outside the city centre, there are no restaurants or pubs nearby, but the restaurant in the hotel is lovely.
I only used it as an overnight base while attending a cricket match on Friday night, but the location was ideal, the room was very well appointed, and the building and grounds were beautiful. Also, when I had returned, the staff rang me to tell me that an item had been left in the room, which they will be posting on to me.I Intend to look at details of the spa breaks for a future occasion.
My parents had a long wait for coffee in the bar, because it had been left for them to collect, and they had expected that it would be brought over to them. They felt that they should have been told that the coffee was there for them to collect.
